Eton is seeking to hire a Global PR Director (Maternity Cover)  to join the Marketing Communications team in Sweden. As Global PR Director, you will be a key player in the marketing team, ensuring optimal visibility of our brand. By leading the planning and budgeting of all PR activities, events and collaborations, you will support our overall communication plan. Your work will strengthen brand awareness to boost earned media value and demand generation. Working closely with all members of the marketing team as well as the various sales channels (Ecom, Retail, SoM & Wholesales) team, you will be a critical part of delivering Eton’s marketing goals and transformation. You will report to the Brand & Communications Director.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Main responsibility for all partner agencies globally.
  • Develop the Global PR strategy in line with the communication strategy both yearly as well as      forecast plans
  • Responsibility for the PR communication plan and annual PR budget to increase brand awareness and strengthen the business and product narratives
  • Work closely with all sales channels to deliver consistency and coherency in the approach to consumers in creating an omnichannel offering
  • Initiate and maintain relationships on a large scale with key persons in traditional/non and digital media
  • Work closely with creative team to ensure concepts are PR relevant – newsworthy and talkable
  • Media training for global spokespersons and their interviews (media strategy/crisis comms)
  • Key role and spokesperson at global events, press-and sponsorship meetings
  • Seeking out new marketing/Collab opportunities that will fit the brand and maximize broader business goals
  • Work closely with SoM to develop ambassador/influencer program and ensure strategy is in line with overall Comms strategy and brand profile
  • Copy creation; press releases, pitch stories and global company statements
  • Define and set KPIs and report to gage success of global PR initiatives

The experience you’ll bring is:

  • Strong global media relationships especially within fashion press
  • Master’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent field
  • 10+ years of documented experience within PR in an international fashion environment with proven leadership role
  • Experience managing/working with creative teams in ideating, developing and implementing creative concepts
  • In-depth understanding of web and marketing analytics
  • Experience within luxury fashion sector
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong social skills and a passion for building a brand
  • Experience in implementing brand and communication strategies at a global level
  • High level of initiative and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English; Swedish)
  • Familiar with latest trends, technologies/channels and methodologies
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful PR campaigns

One-year temporary position starting Jan 2024.
